MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- The Montgomery Police Department have
arrested two men in connection with the fatal shooting of a
Montgomery teenager.

Seventeen-year-old Deonta T. Perry died about 9 p.m. Monday from
a gunshot wound to the chest, according to a news release from the
Montgomery Department of Public Safety.

Nineteen-year-old Michael D. Miller and 20-year-old Jerome R. Stone were charged with murder Tuesday.

Each was placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility under a $75,000 bond.

The investigation is continuing.

Perry's slaying marks Montgomery's eighth homicide of 2011.

Police say 10 homicides occurred in Montgomery during the same
period in 2010.
