MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Two teens now face capital murder
charges after a 91-year-old man died over the weekend.

Prosecutors say Clarence Dotson, a World War II veteran, was
attacked during a home invasion and robbery on Aug. 2.

The Montgomery Advertiser reports that Dotson had been in
intensive care at a hospital, and charges against the two teens
were upgraded after he died.

Authorities say Dotson's 85-year-old wife was injured in the
attack but has been released from the hospital.

One Montgomery TV station reports that an autopsy determined that Clarence Dotson died as a result of his injuries.

Another says the two 16-year-olds, Anthony Bernard Haynes and Courtney Devon Goines, are being held in a Montgomery County detention facility.

Alabama law prohibits the death penalty for suspects who are 16
years old.
