Troy Police arrested two black males Sunday in connection with a Sunday morning shooting at approximately 9:15 a.m. according to information released by Chief Anthony Everage.
They are identified as 19-year-old Darius Keith Roberson and 28-year-old Maurice Batron Pennington both from Troy. They have been charged with attempted murder in this case. Warrants were signed and issued for Roberson’s and Pennington’s arrest on Sunday. They were arrested at approximately 11:00 a.m. that same day at the Troy Police Department
The victim, Antonio Lequawn Roberson, 33-YOA from Troy, was shot one time in the buttocks. near North Knox Street and Watkins Court. He was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room for treatment of a gunshot wound.
This case is still under investigation by Troy Police.
Troy Police continue to investigate this case. Roberson’s and Pennington’s bonds have been set at $75,000.00 each in this case. He was transferred to the Pike County Jail.
In an unrelated case, TPD arrested 19-year-old Jeremy Swanson on Monday June 20th in connection with a Friday night shooting in the Magnolia Court area at approximately 11:00 p.m.
The victim, 19-year-old Christopher Guice, was struck by a bullet in the ankle at the above location.
Swanson has been charged with assault second degree and his bond has been set at $10,000.00. He has been transported to the Pike County Jail.
This case is still under investigation by TPD.
