The Troy Police Department arrested 28 year old Lenoris Sadon Solomon of Troy for Assault 1st Degree today, according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.
The Troy Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 100 Block of East Orange today at approximately 1:30pm. The victim was found at the scene with a single gun-shot wound to the top of the left leg. The victim was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center by paramedics. Officers at the scene received information from a witness that the suspect was Lenoris Solomon and gave a vehicle description of the vehicle that he left the scene on. Officers made contact with the Solomon on the vehicle approximately 10 minutes after Officer were dispatched and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Hubbard Street. Solomon refused to stop and after traveling a short distance, Solomon jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot. Solomon ran to Woodland Hills Apartments were he went into one of the apartments. Officers set-up a perimeter around the apartment and made contact with the residents when they were trying to leave the apartment. The Emergency Response Team made entry to the residence and located Solomon. Solomon was placed under arrest and transported to the Troy Police Department. A hand gun was located in the room with Solomon at the time of his arrest. Officers located Crack Cocaine in the vehicle Solomon fled from which he was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Solomon has been charged with Two felonies, Assault 1st degree and Possession of Controlled Substance. Solomon has also been charged with three misdemeanors, Attempting to Elude, Harassment and Assault 3rd degree. The total bond of the Felony charges will be $57,500 and Solomon was processed at the Troy City Jail before being transported to the Pike County Jail.
This case is still under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
