Three Walton County Residents Arrested for Aggravated Battery

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) today announces the arrest of Joshua Drake, 29, of Mossy Head, Fla., Willie Drake, 52, of Mossy Head, Fla., and Nora Jordan, 49, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., on aggravated battery charges. The Drake brothers were arrested Nov. 26. Jordan, the Drakes’ sister, was arrested Nov. 27.
The WCSO investigation began Nov. 26 after deputies received a call from a citizen who transported a man to safety after the citizen observed the bleeding man waving at him near Girl Scout Road in DeFuniak Springs, Fla.
The investigation revealed that Joshua and Willie Drake allegedly struck the victim in the head with a golf club following an alleged dispute between the victim and Jordan. The alleged event occurred at 64 West Clover Lane in DeFuniak Springs, Fla.,
Deputies interviewed Jordan Nov. 27 regarding conflicting statements provided by her and the Drakes. The investigation further revealed that Jordan allegedly provided false statements and attempted to destroy evidence. Deputies also recovered a substance from Jordan which field-tested positive for methamphetamines.
Joshua and Willie Drake were each charged with one count of aggravated battery, a second-degree felony.
Jordan was charged with one count of accessory after the fact, a third-degree felony; one count of aggravated battery, a –second-degree felony; and one count of possession of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony.
They were booked into the Walton County Jail.
