The Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of three yesterday as an investigation into numerous car burglaries in the South Lagoon area of Panama City Beach continues.
Daron Holcomb, DOB 7/2/92, Brandon Ryon, DOB 7/25/96, and Taran McFarland, DOB 5/12/96, were arrested yesterday by investigators in the BCSO Criminal Investigations Division. Information was developed in another case that implicated the two juveniles and one adult as suspects in a rash of car burglaries during the evening and early morning hours of December 22 and December 23, 2011.
Contact was made with Holcomb who admitted to investigators he had been involved in the theft of a 32 caliber Keltec pistol from a vehicle. Holcomb also told investigators he had been with Ryan and McFarland the evening and early morning hours of December 22 and 23, 2011, and together they committed about 20 car burglaries. The gun has been located and will be returned to the victim.
Holcomb, of 5408 Lagoon Way, Panama City Beach, was charged with Armed Burglary and Burglary, and 2 counts of Dealing In Stolen Property. Ryon, of 5406 Hilltop Avenue, Panama City Beach, was charged with Armed Burglary and Burglary and McFarland, of 5408 Lagoon Way, Panama City Beach, was charged with Armed Burglary and Burglary.
The investigation continues and additional charges are expected.
