Suspicious Person Seen Carrying A Television, Results in Three Arrests

Three people have been arrested after they were seen carrying a stolen television.

On Aug. 7 the Dothan Police Department responded to the area of the 2200 block of Third Avenue after receiving reports of a suspicious person carrying a television through the neighborhood.

Upon arrival into the area, officers were advised of a residential burglary that had just occurred, nearby on the 2200 block of Raymond Road. Through speaking with citizens in the area, officers were able to follow the route taken by the suspicious person and locate that television, placed in the wood line behind a nearby church.

Utilizing Dothan Police K-9 “Kayzan”, officers tracked the suspect to an apartment in the Tree Top Apartment Complex. Officers made contact with three subjects inside of the apartment, now identified as Darrius Woodley, Dexter Marsh Jr. and Desmond Marsh. They were given consent to search the apartment, which resulted in the location of several other items taken from the home on Raymond Road.

Darrius Woodley, 20, Dexter Marsh Jr., 19 and Desmond Marsh, 18, all of Blissett Drive, were arrested and charged with second degree receiving stolen property. Their bond has been set at $15,000 each.
