Texas Man Fired for Being Too Big, Gov. Files Suit

Ronald Kratz was fired from BAE Systems, a company that makes military vehicles, back in 2009. Back then, Kratz weighed in at 680 pounds, and that's the reason he was given along with a pink slip.

Now the federal government is filing suit, claiming the company violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Kratz used his Severence pay for weight reduction surgery. He now tips the scale at just under 300 pounds.

In the lawsuit, he says he wants his old job back, as well as back pay and unspecified damages.
