(Dothan, AL)--A Taylor man has been booked in the Houston County Jail for opening fire and then setting fire to his home.
According to police, suspect George Tedder of 104 Holiday Court, fired multiple shots inside his home on Tuesday night. He shot his wife in the foot; afterwards she ran to a neighbor’s house to call 911.
Police say Tedder chased and fired shots at her as she fled from the home.
As emergency responders arrived on the scene, it is reported that Tedder set his house on Fire to destroy evidence. However, firefighters were able to control the flames and save the home.
Tedder tried to resist arrest and was tazed by police. He is now being held without bond at the Houston County Jail.
Police believe four teenagers, including family and neighbors, were inside when the event occurred.
