Sketch and Description Released for Troy Attacker

The Troy Police Department released an update Thursday in connection with the investigation of a serious assault of a Troy University student Tuesday morning according to information released by Chief Anthony Everage.

Troy Police contacted a composite sketch artist to assist in the investigation. The police composite sketch artist came from the Hoover Police Department Thursday and met with the victim to draw a composite of the suspect in this case.

Troy Police released more information on the physical description of the suspect. He is a black male, 5’7”-6’00” tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds. In his mid 30’s; scruffy, light facial hair; unknown head hair - covered by toboggan; dark complexion; flat nose; may have a crease on forehead; heavy odor and bloodshot eyes.

This incident is still under investigation by the Troy Police and the Pike County Sheriff’s Department. The following agencies assisted in the investigation is the Troy University Police, the Twelfth Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office Alabama Bureau of Investigation, Department of Forensic Science, Alabama Beverage Control Board, the Hoover Police Department, the Alabama Department of Correction, and US. Marshal’s Service.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Troy Police Department at 566-0500 or the TPD Secret Witness Line at 566-5555.

Police are asking anyone who might seen a black male subject late Monday night or early Tuesday morning in the Needmore Road area call Troy Police at 566-0500 or the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at 556-4347.
