Last Thursday News 4 reported an armed robbery at The Gardens apartments on Holly Lane.

The suspects got away on foot and since that day more patrols have been on the streets.

Now, authorities have a picture and multiple leads to help in the search.

He was thought to match a description of an armed robbery suspect.

But Dawtone Levar Goods was wanted for something else.

“Police were able to chase him down take him into custody and what they discovered is the person that we have taken into custody this morning is not the robbery suspect,” said Sgt. Rachel David with Dothan Police Department.

Police are looking for 19 year old Andrew Marquis Thomas.

Since Thursday, more units are patrolling the streets after he and a female reportedly robbed a woman at gunpoint at The Gardens apartments.

“We are still seeking information that will identify the second person, the female who was involved in this crime,” said Sgt. David.

The victim of last week's armed robbery did not want talk about the incident but one neighbor says everyone in the Holly Lane area keeps an eye out for everyone else's home.

“Most of the, especially people around this neighborhood in the historic district everybody looks out for each other you know most all of your neighbors around here,” said John Andrews, a resident on Holly Lane.

Andrews says his neighborhood on Holly Lane is peaceful for the most part.

But he's still weary knowing two suspects are still on the loose.

“The fact that he's still out there makes means that he could come back here and I don't think he seems to be very scared of anything around here,” said Andrews.

Thomas' last known address is on Denton Road.

That's just one of many areas authorities are continuing their search.

Thomas does have a criminal background.

He was arrested last year in April.

Police do not have a picture of the female suspect but her last description was 5-feet 4-inches tall weighing 150 pounds.

Authorities say if you have any information regarding this case to contact Crimestoppers at 793-7000.
