ST. CLOUD, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities have identified a central
Florida teen as the person who went on a shooting spree with two
AK-47s in a St. Cloud neighborhood.

Police say 18-year-old David Alyn Penney remained hospitalized
in critical condition Tuesday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound
to the face.

Police responded early Monday after multiple people called 911 to report that a man was firing a gun.

Police say Penney fired multiple times into one home before he
fired at the responding police vehicles.

Officer Clinton Wise was shot in the foot as he got out of the car. Officer Spencer Endsley was injured by glass fragments.

Police say the officers exchanged gunfire with Penney before he
shot himself. Doctors believe he will survive.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that police continued to investigate.
