SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- Shelbyville family that disappeared has
been found safe in Florida.
Shelbyville Police Chief Bill Elliott said 18-year-old Joseph Guy was being held Wednesday in a Florida jail on a Marion County arrest warrant. He had been under house arrest on charges of stalking a male Indianapolis security guard.
Elliott says his parents, Robert and Debra Guy, both 52, and their 2-year-old grandson are unharmed and have been released. Police say they tracked the family through a prepaid cell phone. Florida police stopped them on Interstate 75 before they could enter Georgia Wednesday morning.
Joseph Guy is expected to be charged with removing a tracking device while on home detention.
Neighbors had told investigators they last saw the family on May 3 loading belongings into their two vehicles.
