ATLANTA (AP) -- The medical examiner's office is trying to identify the remains of a woman found under a home in southwest Atlanta.
WSB-TV reports that a police dog alerted authorities Thursday to the remains.
Detectives said the body belonged to a woman, but her identity was not immediately clear.
Atlanta Police Lt. Paul Guerrucci said the remains may need to be identified using DNA or other techniques.
