Police: 30 Dogs Left Behind When Homeowner Leaves for Several Days

The Jackson County, Florida Sheriff’s Department is investigating animal cruelty allegations.

Investigators say a Frances Drive Homeowner had left the home for several days, leaving about 30 dogs.

Deputies say the animals appeared emaciated and were living in unacceptable conditions.

The bodies of four dogs were removed. The surviving dogs were rescued and taken to a Humane Facility for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
