DOTHAN, AL - A hearing date has been set in the case of former Dothan Police Captain Keith Gray.
The Dothan Personnel Board will decide if Gray should be reinstated on January 13.
Gray was terminated in September for allegedly violating department rules.
At a hearing last month, Attorneys for the city say Gray's ties with a motorcycle club are cause for concern.
Pornographic websites were also found on gray's work phone. Gray's attorney says someone else could have put the sites on gray's phone.
Just because the Personnel Board comes to a decision doesn't mean the case is over.
"Once the personnel board renders their decision, the employee or former employee will have an opportunity to appeal that decision to the circuit court," said Personnel Director Delvick McKay.
The Personnel Board only recently received a transcript of Gray's November appeal hearing. They'll spend the next few weeks reviewing that material before making a decision.
