The Bay County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division received arrest warrants yesterday on Jared Lucas Brown. DOB 06/28/1988, of 13201 Petunia Street, Panama City Beach, on charges of Principle to Home Invasion Robbery with a Firearm and Principle to Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.
Brown is believed connected to the August 8, 2010, home invasion robbery of a home on Pine Drive on Panama City Beach.
Brown is a former employee of the victim and investigators believe Brown arranged for Christopher Shane Harrison, DOB 6-13-87, of Alford, Florida, to go to the home on Pine Drive and burglarize it. Instead, the victim was home at the time and confronted Harrison.
The two wrestled and the victim received a glancing gunshot to the head.
The suspect fled the home and was arrested yesterday, May 12, 2011.
Earlier today, surveillance was initiated on Brown’s residence.
While conducting this surveillance, Warrants Deputies observed Brown drive past them in a vehicle registered to his girlfriend.
Deputies followed him to the residence and took him into custody without incident.
