An Ozark man is behind bars charged with first-degree robbery.

Police say 49-year-old Timothy Clark Shreve entered the Murphy USA convenience store near Walmart on Highway 231 around 11:45 Thursday night, produced a handgun and demanded money from the clerks.

Just before midnight authorities attempted to stop Shreve but he fled, stopping in a wooded area and then fleeing on foot.

Shreve was arrested shortly after. He's being held in the dale county jail without bond.

Additional charges are expected as Shreve had his 13-year-old child in the vehicle during the incident.

what a dumb thing to have done.Rob a store with a kid in your car.You know that kids going to say oh,that was--and tell the cops who you are. Well I've said it before and I'll say it again, You can't do the time if you don't do a crime. I least he was caught and no injuries happen.
