Sheriff's Office Investigating Sexual Battery at Leo Norred Park

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of sexually battery at Leo Norred Park in Poquito Bayou.

According to a press release, a woman was sexually battered at the park between 3:30 and 4 a.m. on April 30.

The woman says she had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend and went to the park to smoke cigarettes. While she was leaving, a man allegedly grabbed her and sexually assaulted her before running off.

Deputies responding to the scene canvassed the neighborhood.

The woman described the man as a tan, short white male about 40 to 50-years-old. He was wearing a black T-shirt and possibly wearing jeans.
