UPDATE--Mia Brown's Body Has Been Identified

News 4 reporter Vanessa Nguyen just saw Mia Brown's dad who doesn't want to talk but he said the sheriff's office has confirmed the victim is Mia Brown.

No murder charges yet...Judge Owen Powell set a $20,000 bond on him and if he bails out, he will have to check in...Calhoun apparently has charges pending in Alabama too.

He is now charged with tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice.

The Holmes County Sheriffs Office has formally charged Calhoun with tampering with evidence. His first court appearance is Tuesday December 21st at 1pm.

Holmes County Sheriff Tim Brown said that Johnny Mack Skeeto Calhoun, 33 of Esto is in custody and and is being questioned by the Holmes County Sheriff's Office. Brown said that Calhoun was apprehended in Esto early this afternoon. No charges have been filed

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation has confirmed that remains were found inside the burned car in Geneva County.

It's now been more than 72 hours since anyone has seen, or heard from Mia Chay Brown.

Sunday, family, friends and strangers took part in a massive manhunt for the 24-year-old Holmes County, Florida woman.

Reports say Mia may be in the company of man who is known to frequent the Hartford area.

The Holmes County Sheriff's Office horse posse searched along the heavily wooded Holmes-Geneva County line looking for a trace of Mia Chay Brown.

The 24-year-old Esto, Florida resident hasn't been seen since Thursday night. On Sunday, friends and family gathered at Bethlehem School and coordinated searches. Mia's mother made an urgent appeal for anyone who may have seen her daughter.

"We are all just children of god. Good people, bad people…Please, please don't hurt my baby," she says.

Mia and Brandon Brown were high school sweethearts at Bethlehem High School, and have been married for the last five years.

"Unbearable. I hope no one will injure Mia, she is such a wonderful person," he says.

Authorities are looking into the possibility that Johnny Mack Calhoun who reportedly asked Mia for a ride earlier on the day of her disappearance. The 33-year-old is known to frequent Esto and Hartford. Neither Mia nor Calhoun has been seen.

Mia was last seen at around 8:15 last Thursday night here at Charlie’s Grocery and Deli, a small store along the Florida-Alabama line here along highway 79 where she worked. Owner Charles says how folks continually ask about her.

"Where's Mia? That's the question of the year. We don't know," he says.
