It's now been more than 72 hours since anyone has seen, or heard from Mia Chay Brown.

Sunday, family, friends and strangers took part in a massive manhunt for the 24-year-old Holmes County, Florida woman.

Reports say Mia may be in the company of man who is known to frequent the Hartford area.

The Holmes County Sheriff's Office horse posse searched along the heavily wooded Holmes-Geneva County line looking for a trace of Mia Chay Brown.

The 24-year-old Esto, Florida resident hasn't been seen since Thursday night. On Sunday, friends and family gathered at Bethlehem School and coordinated searches. Mia's mother made an urgent appeal for anyone who may have seen her daughter.

"We are all just children of god. Good people, bad people…Please, please don't hurt my baby," she says.

Mia and Brandon Brown were high school sweethearts at Bethlehem High School, and have been married for the last five years.

"Unbearable. I hope no one will injure Mia, she is such a wonderful person," he says.

Authorities are looking into the possibility that Johnny Mack Calhoun who reportedly asked Mia for a ride earlier on the day of her disappearance. The 33-year-old is known to frequent Esto and Hartford. Neither Mia nor Calhoun has been seen.

Mia was last seen at around 8:15 last Thursday night here at Charlie’s Grocery and Deli, a small store along the Florida-Alabama line here along highway 79 where she worked. Owner Charles says how folks continually ask about her.

"Where's Mia? That's the question of the year. We don't know," he says.

Yeah johnny was easily found by the cops, under a bed, in a camper they had already seized. He wasnt hiding huh? some people amaze me. Everyone wants to blame Brandon or point a finger at brandon, to save some creep that murdered one of my friends that i went to school with. If he is so innocent, why hasnt he already told the cops, why was he hiding under the bed when the cops found him. Why would he be missing the entire time Mia was, and he's still alive? When Mia was alive Johnny may not have posed a threat to her at the time, cause that's usually how these kind of people are. They seem like your best friend until they are ready to take that step. So that may be the reason nothing was ever said about him being there. But like I said, that's how those kind of people are. If this was an alabama girl, it would be a different situation for some of the Alabama, and state line residents. Even people you've known all your lives can one day surprise you with something like this.

"NOTHEARSAY" You are asking people to stop pointing fingers to your Johnny and yet you just pointed them to a grieving husband how dare you! We are all praying that God will expose the truth. Mia had many loved ones who needed her as well this time of the year and many more years to come but she doesn't have that choice does she?

Im reading all of these comments and yes this is an awful tragedy but its also awful to accuse Johnny of something no one saw him do and i have known Johnny over 20 yrs and he is not capable of doing something like this.Everyone needs to quit slandering his name and remember what Mia's mom said "Good people bad people we are all children of god".Somethings not right I know that Johnny had been going to Mia's work and seeing her why didnt her husband stop him or did he?Johnny didnt run and hide the cops easily found him!God will prevail and the truth will hopefully be known.Stop sinning and start praying.Ask yourself what would Jesus do would Jesus want you wishing one of his children to be fried, deserving no oxygen, and all the other hateful things that have been wished on Johnny whom no one saw him commit this crime.Yes Johnny has a past but everyone does.People change.I pray God will expose the truth Johnny has a son that needs his dad especially at this time of year.

Is there any connection with Sherriff "Brown" and Brandon "Brown"? This is a terrible thing that has happened. I pray for the families that the "real" truth will be exposed.

I completely agree with everyone who commented about guygrewuponstateline. Mia was a wonderful person, and no matter what kinda situation there was, what kind of person could do something that is so terrible? Mia will be dearly missed, and I pray that God will help Brandon, and the rest of Mia's family in dealing with something so tragic.

Johnny Mack doesn't deserve to breath oxygen! Guygrewuponstateline, you act like Johnny Mack was a good person, Johnny was strung out and deserves to be fried. How dare you trt to blame her husband or act like he had anything to do with this.

attention guyfromstateline Really? your comment makes me think of someone who is trying to take up for a monster and point your finger to a broken and torn husband. So i ask you how close of a friend are you to this monster? and you sir need to take a step back and look at the scenario what innocent man runs from the police and then claims he was abducted as well? use some common sence think before you attempt to post a comment, there are alot of hurt people out there tonight. We have lost someone who was dear to many folks. the best thing for you to do at this time is ask all the Christian folks out there to be praying for the ones who has lost a precious loved one. And yes we all have seen cases like this on tv most of the guilty people involved as well try to put the attention on someone besides themself.
