On 06-20-2011 Huan Doan turned himself in at the Marianna Police Department on a warrant issued for his arrest on 4-13 2011 on the charge of aggravated stalking. The suspect had been aware of the warrant for the last two months, but had fled the area and the state to avoid arrest. He did however become aware that the Marianna Police Department had asked the United States Marshal Service to assist in locating and making an arrest no matter where he might hide.
The original aggravated stalking case involves the suspect’s ex-girlfriend whom he repeatedly made threats to by phone, and other electronic means. He also made death threats toward the victim and the victim’s employees.
The defendant has been to first appearance as of 6-21-2011 and his bond has been set at $50,000 dollars.
