WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- A South Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for participating in the murder of a teen suspected of snitching on his drug dealing.

A Palm Beach County judge sentenced 29-year-old Alfredo Sotelo-Gomez on Friday. He was convicted in April of kidnapping and
first-degree murder. He had faced a possible death sentence.

A witness testified that Sotelo-Gomez pinned 17-year-old Maciel Videla's arms behind his back while another man, Diego Nunez, slit
Videla's throat. His body was later found in a canal in suburban Lantana.

Also convicted in the December 2008 murder was Videla's girlfriend, 20-year-old Adriana Rodriguez. Police say she lured Videla to the El Toro Loco bar, where he was abducted. Rodriguez has also been sentenced to life in prison.

Nunez has not been captured.
