SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- Police have accused a 24-year-old man of
wounding a motorist in a Savannah road rage shooting.
Kyle Nettles was charged Tuesday night with aggravated assault
in the shooting of 57-year-old Joseph Dotson.
Dotson told police that he was driving south when another
vehicle sped toward him in his lane headed in the opposite
direction, nearly causing a crash.
WTOC-TV reports that Dotson yelled at the other vehicle as it passed. That vehicle then turned around, and Dotson and a passenger in the other car got out.
Dotson was shot in an ensuing argument. Nettles was being held in jail Wednesday. A woman who would only identify herself as Nettles' mother declined to comment when reached by phone.
