The Dothan Police Department has arrested a resident who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint on July 16.
A press release states that an attempted robbery occurred on July 16 when Delrick Vickers, 35, of Hodgesville Road, attempted to rob a man that was working on a home in the 100 block of Gaines Street.
The victim was able to fight Vickers off but was unable to detain him before he fled the area. The victim provided a description of Vickers to police, saying he had seen him in the area several times.
On July 25, the victim saw Vickers at the Flying J truck stop and confronted him. Vickers began running away as the victim notified the police. Vickers was found and taken into custody at the corner of South Oates Street and East Carroll Street a short time later.
Vickers has been charged with first degree robbery. His bond has been set at $60,000.
