The Limestone County Sheriff's Department performed an illegal gambling raid Thursday night, and their search turned up far more than they were originally looking for.
Just after 9:00 p.m. the Limestone County Sheriffs Department performed a raid on illegal gambling operations at Tommy's Game Room in the Jones Cross Roads community.
The warrant was for illegal gambling, but there was much more going on at the gaming parlor at the intersection of Nuclear Plant Road and Lucas Ferry Road.
Fourteen people were there when Sheriff Mike Blakely and his deputies conducted the raid.
The deputies discovered 27 illegal gambling machines, nine guns, $7,500 and a complex surveillance system. They confiscated all those items.
42-year-old Thomas White is charged with promoting gambling.
