Jackson County SO Makes Arrest

On 9-2-2011, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary at the Malone School in Malone, Florida.

Initial reports indicated that the school’s staff had arrived for work and discovered that the administration offices had been broken into and that approximately $665.00 in cash had been taken. An investigation was conducted by Deputies from the School Resource Officer’s Division and the Criminal Investigations Division. During the course of the investigation, evidence recovered from the crime scene was forwarded to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Crime Lab for processing. An analysis of that evidence enabled Investigator’s to identify Jeremy Donnell Barnes as a suspect in the burglary. On 12-29-2011, as a result of the investigation, Barnes was charged with grand theft and burglary of the Malone School. Barnes is currently housed in the Jackson County Correctional Facility awaiting first appearance on these charges.

You know that it never works that way, there are a lot of people in jail and prison that are perfectly innocent. You get in jail, hire a lawyer to find evidence that you are innocent. If you are arrested, as far as the law goes you are guilty until you can prove you are innocent.
