On 1-3-2014 at approximately 2222hrs, a Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy observed a vehicle traveling on Lakeside Drive with faulty equipment.
At approximately 2223hrs, a traffic stop was affected for the traffic violation and the Deputy made contact with the driver and passenger Amber Faith Criswell.
During the investigation, consent to search the vehicle was obtained and a subsequent search revealed a plastic container in Criswell's purse that contained a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine.
The substance was then field tested for Methamphetamine, with a positive result. It was detemined that Criswell is currently on State Probation for Grand Theft and Obstructing a Crime Investigation.
Criswell was placed under arrest and charged with 1) Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) and 2) Violation of State Probation.
She was then transported to JCCF to await First Appearance.
