Jackson Co. Sheriff's Investigates Trailer Theft

On 3-27-2013, The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen semi-trailer. The trailer had last been seen at a location on Henry Way in Greenwood, Florida. Evidence gathered during the course of the investigation allowed investigators to determine that the trailer had been sold, as scrap metal, to a salvage company in Marianna, Florida. Evidence gathered during the investigation also enabled investigators to identify four persons that were involved in the theft of the trailer. On 3-28-2013, investigators arrested Benjamin Durham and John Blackmon for Grand Theft and Dealing in Stolen Property. On 3-28-2013, investigators arrested Lydia Brown for Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property and Defrauding a Second Hand Metal Dealer. On 4-1-2013, investigators arrested Carrie Marie Mott for Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property and Defrauding a Second Hand Metal Dealer. Durham, Blackmon, Brown and Mott were transported to the Jackson County Jail to await first appearance.
