Three men are behind bars following a multi-county police chase that ended in Hartford.

Officials with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office said it started Friday afternoon at a bank on the west side of Dothan. They believe it could possibly be related to a counterfeiting ring.

Officers arrested one man in Dothan.

The other two led police on a chase into Geneva County.

Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes said his deputies did a pit maneuver and stopped the car in Hartford.

Sheriff Hughes said the suspects were trying to tear up multiple one hundred dollar bills. They could possibly be counterfeit bills. Deputies arrested the two Georgia men and brought them back to Dothan.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.

The Dothan Police Department is investigating.
