ATLANTA (AP) - Federal authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information about a metro Atlanta firearms store that was robbed by three masked gunmen.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives says it's offering the reward for information about the robbery of the Direct Gold Outlet in Covington, which was robbed on Thursday.
Special Agent Gregory Gant says that three male gunmen assaulted a female clerk and then smashed glass display cases to steal 32 firearms. The suspects were wearing masks and gloves.
Gant said authorities fear the stolen firearms will end up in the hands of violent criminals.
