Gilley Prison Start Date Delayed Again

DOTHAN, AL - Ronnie Gilley's prison report date has been postponed again.

The former Country Crossing developer was supposed to report to federal prison on Tuesday.

Friday, U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson delayed that date to November 5.

Gilley had requested a 106 day extension to recover from surgery. Prosecutors originally opposed the move but later agreed to a 30 day extension in the interests of efficiency and economy.

Gilley was sentenced to six years and eight months after admitting to offering bribes to state lawmakers.
