Russell James Dixon of Clayton, Ga., was sentenced to two years of probation in 1960 for a felony liquor law violation.
Roxane Kay Hettinger of Powder Springs, Ga., was sentenced in 1986 to 30 days in jail and three years of probation for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
The White House announced the pardons Friday as Obama was in the air on the way back from a surprise visit to Afghanistan.
No well-known people were on the list and most of the crimes seemed low-grade. Five involved drug or liquor offenses.
