Ga. Man, Daughter Shot During Domestic Dispute

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- Police in Savannah say a 26-year-old man is in custody after he and his daughter were shot during a domestic dispute.

It's unclear where the two were wounded, but police say neither suffered life-threatening injuries. Police found Ford walking with the girl through a wooded area and arrested him on an aggravated assault charge.

Authorities say Dominique Ford tried grabbing a gun during a fight with the 21-year-old mother of his daughter Monday. Police say the woman fought Ford and was able to wrestle the gun away from him. Police say she shot Ford once and he picked up the girl before the woman fired a second shot.

Police Spokesman Julian Miller says charges have not been filed against the woman who fired the shots, and the investigation is ongoing.
