Ft. Walton Deputies Investigate Armed Home Invasion

A Fort Walton Beach area woman says two men broke into her Cove Drive home early Thursday morning and demanded money and jewelry at gunpoint.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office received the call of a home invasion robbery shortly before one a.m. at 548 Cove Drive.

Deborah Smith says she came out of her bathroom to find two men inside her house yelling for money and jewelry.

One was armed with a silver handgun.

According to Smith and other witnesses inside the house, the two robbers had items covering their faces.

They left without taking any items and no one was hurt.

    They must have broke into a poor house hold, to bad. Every body that lives in a fairly decent house are not rich. Sometimes it's all they can do to make morgage payments or rent.
