Fort Walton Beach Man Shot in Second Incident in 6 Months

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting of a Fort Walton Beach man that took place sometime before six p.m. Friday night.

24-year old Alonzo George Hinson of 111 Auburn Road suffered gunshot wounds to both forearms during an incident near 510 Union Street. A caller reported hearing shots fired and seeing vehicles and people leaving the area quickly. A short time later, the OCSO received a second call of a man with gunshot wounds arriving at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. He was identified as Hinson. He was last listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hinson was also shot in the shoulder back on September 16, 2010 outside 613 Colonial Drive in Fort Walton Beach. He says he’d been approached by an unknown male who demanded his property and that he was shot when they began fighting.
