EAST POINT, Ga. (AP) -- A former East Point police officer is
facing a theft charge.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/nmOhbd )
police say the former officer, Eric Miller, was arrested on Friday
by GBI agents.
They say Miller, who was on administrative leave but has now
been terminated, is accused of theft by taking, violation of oath
of office and false statements.
The police department asked for the GBI's help looking into
possible criminal activity.
Police say Miller was placed on leave in August pending the
outcome of the investigation.
