Former Rehobeth Teacher Pleads Guilty to Sex Charges

DOTHAN, AL - The fate of a former Rehobeth High School teacher accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student is now in the hands of a judge.

Robert Lee Michel was arrested in April after the victim's mother found him in bed naked with her daughter.

Michel pleaded guilty to three charges of a school employee having sex with a student and four counts of possessing child pornography.

Judge Butch Binford has set sentencing for November 14.

Michel is still being held in the Houston County Jail under $3 million bond.
