Former FAMU Student Shot by North Carolina Police


North Carolina police shot and killed a former FAMU player Saturday morning.

Jonathon Ferrell, 24, reportedly approached a home looking for help after his car crash. The homeowners called police and told dispatch that a man had been knocking on their door repeatedly.
When officers arrived at scene, Ferrell ran toward them and an officer gunned him down.

Ferrell was un-armed.

The officer who shot him is being charged with voluntary manslaughter.
Authorities continue the investigation.
