EATONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- A 16-year-old is in critical condition
in a central Florida hospital after police say he was accidentally
shot by a 6-year-old child.

Police say the teen was at home playing video games Sunday night
when he was injured. Detectives say the boy picked up a small
handgun from the floor because he thought it was a toy.

The Orlando Sentinel reports (http://thesent.nl/yZw6zs ) the
teen was struck in the head and taken to Orlando Regional Medical
Center where he is on life support.

No further information was immediately released Monday about the

Keeping a loaded gun on the floor is not the proper place to store a weapon. The parents need to be held responsible for this. The weapon needed to be under lock and key, when you have children around.
