Corrections officials say they've captured an escaped inmate a day after he disappeared from the state prison cattle ranch in Hale County.
Authorities say officers acting on a tip apprehended 33-year-old William Keith Bivins on Tuesday morning along Alabama 9 in Greensboro.
That isn't far from the cattle ranch, where Bivins wasn't on hand for an institutional head count early Sunday afternoon.
Officials say Bivins is being taken to Kilby prison near Montgomery. They haven't released details on his escape or his capture.
Authorities say Bivins is serving a 33-year sentence for a robbery in Houston County. He already has served more than a decade of the sentence
