Citizens Assist in Arrest of Enterprise Man

Enterprise citizens assisted police on May 16 after a man crashed his car at the intersection of Boll Weevil Circle and Lee Street.

The Enterprise Police Department responded to the scene after citizens at the scene of the accident flagged down an off duty officer to stop.

The officer made contact with the subject who attempted to flee the scene.

Joseph Isaac Speigner, 56, of Enterprise, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and driving under the influence.

Speigner was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.

The Enterprise Police Department thanks the citizens who stopped to assist the officers on scene.
