Dothan police say they received a 9-1-1 call Saturday from the victim after she made a bold escape from her captor.
Authorities say 46 year old Kenneth Earl Morris of Headland broke into the victim's downtown Dothan home and held her captive for nearly 21 hours.
While under Morris’ control the victim was sexually tortured and raped.
“The victim was able to identify the suspect it was a former dating relationship. It had been her boyfriend previously but they had since parted ways and she had made it clear to the suspect that she wanted no further contact with him,” said Sergeant Rachel David with Dothan Police Department.
Within a matter of hours Morris was arrested.
He is being charged with first-degree kidnapping, rape, burglary and sexual torture.
