Dothan Woman Arrested for Running Over Pedestrian

On April 17, 2011 the Dothan Police Department responded to a pedestrian struck just after midnight. The incident occurred at the intersection of Newton and Range Street just after midnight. Upon arrival, police learned the victim had already been taken to a local hospital where he was in critical condition. Police photographed the scene and collected evidence along with witness statements at the scene. The Violent Crimes Unit responded and the preliminary investigations revealed that the action was intentional. Investigators say alcohol was involved in the crime which was domestically motivated. The suspect, Lakreshia Berry was taken into custody a short time later and will be charged with Attempted Murder.

• Lakreshia Berry, black female, 27 years of age, of East Adams Street was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder with bond being set later today.

    She wanted to go to jail. Probably hadn't ever been before and she wanted to see what it looked like in there.And a lot of people hadn't got all that much sense, so they need some one to order them around. Makes life so much easier to have someone eles do the thinking.In jail you have a routine to follow.Kinda like a mouse in a maze, you do like you're told you get a reward.
