On January 5, 2011 the Dothan Police Department Narcotic Unit arrested two people following a brief investigation. Officers witnessed what appeared to be a possible narcotic transaction just before 4:00 p.m. in the 400 block of Florida Avenue. As narcotic officers approached the suspect he fled on foot and a short foot pursuit ensued. When officers caught the suspect he resisted arrest but was taken into custody without injuries to himself or officers. Police recovered marijuana while on scene and then moved to the suspect’s home where he voluntarily allowed police to search his room. While at the residence, a female who was present attempted to interfere with the investigation and was also arrested.
• Jamal Raheem Frazier, black male, 18 years of age, of East Spring Street was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Second Degree and Resisting Arrest.
• Taheisha Brooks, black female, 18 years of age, of East Spring Street was arrested and charged with Obstructing Government Operations.
