DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) -- A Dothan man faces a possible life sentence
after being convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage girl at a
psychiatric center where he used to work.

Prosecutors say jurors convicted 40-year-old Jeffery Scott
McCarter of second-degree rape.

He was accused of assaulting a 15-year-old girl who was being treated at Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center, where the man used to work.

The Dothan Eagle reports jurors rejected McCarter's claims that nothing happened.

He has been awaiting trial since his arrest in 2008.

Sentencing is set for Sept. 21, when McCarter faces a sentence
ranging from 15 years to life.

He should get life because she was a child not of consenting age and also she was under mental care. That being said, he raped a mentally impaired person. She is unable to choose. Doesn't really matter if she was 40 she's unable to choose.
