Dothan Man Arrested for Garden Apartments Armed Robbery

On May 5, 2011 the Dothan Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the office of Garden Apartments, 403 Holly Lane. Upon arrival, police learned two suspects had entered the office and were asking questions about the apartment. During the conversation, the male suspect pulled a handgun and demanded money from the employee. The two then fled on foot toward South Edgewood Drive. The suspects were described as a black male, 5’8, 160 pounds wearing a white shirt and jean shorts and a black female 5’4, 150 pounds wearing a red shirt and black pants with hair pulled back and hair extensions. Both suspects were believed to be in their early to mid twenties. The Violent Crimes Unit worked diligently on this case and signed warrants against Andrew Marquis Thomas. Just after 3:00 p.m. today police took Thomas into custody.

Andrew Marquis Thomas, black male, 19 years of age, of Denton Road was arrested for First Degree Robbery with a $ 200,000 bond.
