DOTHAN, AL - On December 25, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a firearm assault which had occurred in the vicinity of the Lakeview subdivision. Upon arrival, police learned the victim was at a residence meeting a woman he had met on the internet when five to six black males walked in the house and the victim believed that they were trying to rob him. The victim said he ran out of the house, but as he fled someone shot him. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for a moderate injury caused by a gunshot wound to his left thigh.
