On June 2, 2011 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest following an investigation of identity theft. Investigators say the offense occurred in 2009 however it was recently discovered when the victim made application for a loan. Investigators say they have now arrested Patricia Station after facts of this case showed she used the name and personal information of a client to open a title loan while employed with a local title loan company.
• Patricia Jean Station, black female, 37 years of age, of West Inez Road was arrested and charged with Identity Theft with a $2,500 bond.
On June 2, 2011 the Dothan Police Department Narcotic Division came into contact with a suspicious person in the 100 block of Kohler Court. Officers stopped the suspect and ultimately recovered marijuana after which they arrested Paul Bernard Peterson on narcotic charges.
• Paul Bernard Peterson, 25 years of age, of Gordon, Alabama was arrested and charged with Second Degree Possession of Marijuana with a $500 bond.
On June 3, 2011 Dothan Police Department narcotic officers observed Carl Fields standing next to a vehicle in front of a business in the 900 Columbia Hwy that was partially in the roadway. After making contact with Fields, officers patted him down and located 9 individual baggies of cocaine in his right front watch pocket. Fields was taken to the narcotic officer where investigators learned he is on parole for drug possession. As Fields was walked out of the office to an awaiting patrol car he pulled away from officers and ran a short distance before being caught. Fields was then additionally charged with escape. 3rd with a 15,000 bond
• Carl Terry Fields, black male, 38 years of age, of Poyner Street was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Third Degree Escape with bonds totaling $30,000.
On June 2, 2011 Dothan Police Department narcotic officers stopped a vehicle driven by Curtis Tharp for an equipment violation in the 1800 block of Graduate Street. During the stop investigators recovered a small amount of compressed off white powder which was tested confirming that it contained cocaine. Tharp was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Dothan City Jail.
• Curtis Dewayne Tharp, black male, 32 years of age, of Meadow Creek Drive was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $15,000 bond.
