Crestview Man Points Rifle at Newspaper Employees

A 21-year old Crestview man is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrested Roberto Luis Solis II around 3 a.m. this morning (May 16th) at his home at 318 Forrest Parkway.

A 19-year old Crestview teen and his 35-year old mother say Solis came out of his house and pointed a rifle directly at them as they came by delivering newspapers.

Solis told the deputy who responded that he was outside at the time, but he denied pointing a gun. He admitted owning a .22 caliber rifle, which he showed the officer.

Both witnesses positively identified Solis as the man with the weapon.
