CAPSHAW, Ala. (AP) -- Authorities say someone has stolen copper wire, copper tubing and other items in a tornado-ravaged neighborhood where homeowners are trying to rebuild.

Limestone County sheriff's investigator Stanley McNatt said the thief took 300 feet of copper wire, copper tubing and other items from a home in the 25000 block of Camden Court in the small Alabama community of Capshaw. McNatt told the Decatur Daily that the home there is under construction.

The April 27 tornadoes destroyed or damaged all homes in that neighborhood.
